Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina, the more than 6,000 surface acres of Lake James are fed by three mountain rivers. The lake and land are blessed by a time-honored tradition of stewardship that has established an incredible collection of parks and wilderness areas.
Crescent has developed our communities on Lake James, Old Wildlife Club, Black Forest and 1780, in accordance with carefully selected stewardship guidelines designed to preserve the region for generations. Residents enjoy the best of life on the lake – from membership at Camp Lake James to close proximity to the Pisgah National Forest, the Linville Wilderness Area, Lake James State Park, as well as a variety of mountain towns.
Homesites in 1780 and Old Wildlife Club range from 1 to 18 acres. Each waterfront lot has space for a private dock, while each lake-access lot enjoys a dedicated boat slip in a community dock. A lifetime of adventures and memories awaits you here. We hope you’ll visit soon and experience Lake James for yourself.
